Trundle Bunk Beds

Trundle Bunk Beds are a rare treat that aren't found in many places. They offer the chance of having three beds in the same room while only using the floor space of one twin size bed.  Talk about space management - it doesn't get much better than that!

Bunk beds have always been fun for kids, but adding a trundle can prove to be even more fun.  On a traditional trundle kids will probably roll the underneath bed out and have fun rolling from the higher bed to the trundle.  In a bunk they could jump from the top down to the roll out bed, using it as a trampoline.  While you probably don't want your kids doing this too often, it does sound like great fun - that is what kids beds are all about.  I didn't have a trundle underneath my bunk bed growing up, but I remember stacking up the couch cushions below and jumping from the top to the bottom below.

Obviously bunk bed trundles weren't designed for jungle gyms or trampolines, but to add extra sleeping space for company.  Many times kids have a friend they like to invite over to their house, or they have a step brother or sister that comes to visit on the weekends. When space is tight a roll out mattress make a perfect place for the frequent guest.
